Did the children draw a nice picture last night? - No, they didn't. 
Did Jim read an interesting fairy tale last Sunday?  - Yes, he did.
Did Jill write a letter to Santa Claus last week? - Yes, he did.
Did they ski in the park  today? - No, they didn't.
Did Simon catch a big fish 2 months ago? - No, he didn't.
