Opinion about home schooling

Clearly having been home-schooled I can tell you first hand that there are some clearly defined pros and cons, but for the most part it has some very good aspects to it, if done correctly.

I fully intend to home-school my own children someday, when I have them, and I will be fully involved and do it properly. My children will not have to feel stupid or like strangers in the real world, there are ways around that. And I don't really consider school years "real life" anyway. Seriously, high school and life outside of high school have very little to do with each other, unless the people you hang out with never grew up.
Looking at kids today makes me even more determined to not expose my own children to the ridiculous superficiality, and materialistic brats that make up our worlds future leaders. I intend to raise my children to be responsible, caring, socially aware, productive, free thinkers. Not the mindless, vapid, ditsy, morons that are plaguing our schools and public locales currently. Kids today make me sick.

Homeschooling can have some major advantages, when done correctly, and I will do it correctly.
