James was so frightened that he went out and did not come back all day. All the Noahs Ark people who were in the tender were broken to bits, but nothing else was hurt except the poor little engine and the feelings of Peter. The others said he cried over it but of course boys of ten do not cry, however terrible the tragedies may be which dadken their lot. He said that his eyes were red because he had a cold. This turned out to be true, though Peter did not know it was when he said it, the next day he had to go to bed and stay there.

Джеймс как и каждый Он имел отца который не был идеальным,никогда несправедливым и всегда готовым к игре,по крайней мере если он был не готов,у него всегда был повод и он объяснял причину детям так интересно и весело что они чувствовали он должен сделать это.Вы думаете что они были очень счастливы.Так и было,но они не знали как счастливы пока их красивая жизнь  в Красной Вилле не закончилась и они были вынуждены жить другой жизнью.Страшная перемена произошла неожиданно.У Питера был десятый день рождения.Среди его подарков была модель двигателя более совершенная чем кто-либо мечтал.Ее очарования продолжалась три дня.Затем в следствии неопытности Питера или благих намерений Филлис,либо по какой-то другой причине двигатель внезапно с треском отвалился. Джеймс был так напуган что вышел и в течении всего дня не вернулся.Всё Ноев Ковчег люди которые были в тендере были разбито  вдребезги но ничего не было так жалко кроме бедного маленького двигателя и чувств Питера.Он плакал над этим но конечно мальчики десяти лет не плачут однако трагедий может быть еще много.Он
сказал что его глаза красные потому что он простужен.Это оказалось правдой тогда Питер на следующий день должен был идти в постель.
