Нужно выбрать время: Past Perfect/Past Perfect Continious.
1.You were out uf breath when you came in this morning. Had you (run/ been running)?
2.When mother got home she found that little Kitty had (painted/been painting) her room. She had (painted/been painting) two walls red and one wall yellow.
3.It had (rained/been raining) for several days before the wind changed.
4.Jane told me she had (written/been writing) regulary to her Granny, but had not (received/been receiving) any answer.
5. We had (cooked/been cooking) all day for the party that evening but by 8 o`clock in the evening Jane hadn`t (finished/been finishing) laying the table yet.
