I think he is student
1)  This boy is typical American student.
He wore a long shirt and he have got a schoolbag. 
I think he is tall and strong young man. He has got curly hair and some books in his hand as well.
2) As I said he is student and maybe he study very well because he looks happy. I imagine he has got a girlfriend and she is good at her subjects, too.
This boy has got that type of parents who care about him and help him in many life issues.
3) From my point of view, he likes studying, being a happy American student. He also likes going in for sport, so he is active.
He doesn't like lying on the sofa and just be lasy.
