i am writing to tell you about your stay in washington D.С You have asked me to write about the USA capital .So i am doing it in this letter .We really love the city it is so green and so clean. It is situated on the Potomac River,on a piece of land called the District of Columbia,which is why people call the US capital Washington .It is not the biggest city in the US,but it is the most important.The buildings are not very tall,the streets and avenues are straight,green and beautiful.The longest ahd the biggest avenues are named after American states.We have already done the centre of the city.We have been to the White House and seen the Capitol.The Capitol is really great.This is where the United States Congress meets and makes laws.The building of the White House is very beautiful with tall columns and the flag on the roof.It is the US presidents residence.This is where the president lives and works .It is one of the most famous buildings in the world.Its name comes from the fast that it is a white house .Tourists cant see the part where the president lives ,but they can see the Red Room ,the Blue Room and the Green Room and some other rooms .By the way ,the city is famous for its museums.I have been to the Natural History Museum but.I havent seen the others yet.

Пишу тебе о своем пребывании в Вашингтоне. Ты просила написать тебе о столице США, что я и делаю в этом письме. Мы действительно любим этот город - он зеленый и чистый. Он находится на реке Потомак, на участке земли, названный округом Колумбия, вот почему люди называют столицу США Вашингтоном (??). Это не самый большой город в США, но самый важный. Здания здесь не очень высокие, улицы и проспекты прямые, зеленые и красивые. Самые длинные и большие проспекты имеют названия американских штатов. Мы обошли почти весь центр города. Побывали в Белом Доме и Капитолии. Каптолий по-настоящему велик. Это место, где собирается Конгресс США и утверждает законы. Здание Белого Дома украшают высокие колонны и флаг на крыше. Это резиденция президента США. Это место, где живет и работает президент. Это одно из самых популярных зданий в мире. (---). Туристы не могут пройти в часть, где живет президент, но они могут посмотреть на Красную, Синюю, Зеленую комнаты и многие другие. Кстати, город так же известен своими музеями. Я уже побывал(-а) в музее естествознания, но не был(-а) в других.
