That morning when I woke up after a long and sleepless night I was called down stairs. 
I found there my mother and Mr. Murdstone with a stick in his hands. 
I was answered my lesson but I felt the words of my lesson were disappeared from my memory. 
I came in thinking I was well prepared but it was a mistake. 
"If you don't remember the material, I'll beat you." 
Mr Murdstone was the worst stepfather in the world, "Don't beat me, sir. I'll try to learn." 
But he didn't listen to me and didn't let my mother help me.
