In my opinion, it is one of the best periods of life. Although, there are, of course, some advantages and disadvantages of this age group. It isn’t always easy to be a teenager. Boys and girls often meet their first love when they are teenagers. This type of love can be unhappy. Many teenagers start smoking and drinking alcohol, which is not good at all. They simply don’t know how unhealthy it can be. This way they want to look older and more mature. I think this is the age when parents should keep an eye on their children to help them overcome such problems. In many countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still at school. It is a good way to keep busy. When teens do something useful and have interesting hobbies, they are less seen in bad companies. Of course, these jobs are not full-time because pupils should also attend their classes during the day. Part-time jobs are a good solution in this situation. One of my English pen-friends does a part-time job. She wakes up early and delivers newspapers in the neighborhood. Then, she goes to school. It’s a low-paid job but she still likes it. At least, she gets some pocket money. I wish I could do something similar in my town. Unfortunately, I almost don’t have any free time. I’m now at a high school and I study hard to pass the exams. Other than that, I attend special IT workshops for my future career. In the end, when I have some free time left I read books. Reading is one of my favourite hobbies. As you see, unlike many teenagers, I have no time for bad habits.

Nowdays teenagers got lots of problems. The first (and the main one), as for me, is misunderstanding by their parents. Older people are more clever, but sometimes they can not understand, that teenagers want some freedom in their actions. For example, once i watched an old cool movie called "Blonde Ambition" and my dad saw me watching it. He did not tell me im awfull, but helped me with his arm, that was really exciting! He understood my wishes and was my hero. Unfortunately, not all parents are that intelligent.Another problem is our need to study. I do not think i'll need some things i learn now, for example some international languages. I can easely ask someone in the internet about it, so why would i bother learning some usless things like this?Anyway, i think that people should help teenagers to break their challenges and to grow up in normal pars of society.
