- Television is a relatively cheap source of entertainment for children because they can watch all sorts of educational programmes and cartoons. 
- There are many interesting educational channels like National Geographic, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, History, DIY channels and many more.
- Television can be a great way to relax after a busy day at work or at school. 
- Many sport events all over the world like football matches, the Olympics, Athletics Championships, Tennis Tournaments and others can be watched on TV. 

минусы:
- There are many violent programmes that can have negative impact on children. 
- There are also many depressing and misleading news shown on TV.
- Watching too much TV may affect your health, especially your eyesight and even decrease mental activity. 
- Television can be addictive.
