Пожалуйста, проверьте грамматику. What did you do last weekend?

On Saturday our family went shopping for the New Year. We bought a Christmas tree and garland. Back home, we cooked dinner, cleaned our flat and began to decorate the tree and house. It took a lot of effort and time and in the evening I took a relaxing shower, washed my daughter and started to watch an interesting film. After I read my daughter's tale and went to bed.
On Sunday I went to visit my mother. She lives on the other side of town, and I rarely see her. Then we went to the forest with the whole family, where we rode from the hill and fed squirrels.
In the evening I ironed my clothes for Monday and started work on my dissertation.
As you can see, I have a lot to do at the weekend. Unfortunately, I do not always have time to do everything that I planned. Nevertheless, I have enough time to rest, and on Monday with new forces I start studying.

Then I read a tale to my daughter tale and went to bed.

In the evening I ironed my clothes for Monday and started working on my dissertation.
As you can see, I usually have a lot to do at the weekend. Unfortunately, I do not always have time to do everything that I have planned. Nevertheless, I have enough time to rest, and on Monday with renewed vigor I start studying.
