Retell the story using indirect speech. Write logical questions to the text. Give a title to it: Once a little boy entered a shop and said to the shopman:”how much will I have to pay for ten pounds of sugar, two pounds of coffee and three pounds of butter?” The shopman took a piece of paper and a pencil, wrote something down and said: “Four dollars and sixty cents.” Then the boy said: “How much change will you give me if I give you five dollars?” “i shall give you forty cents,” answered the shopman. “thank you,” said the boy, “I don't want to buy anything. It is my homework for tomorrow, and cannot do it myself.”

1 Once a little boy entered a shop and asked the shopman how much he would have to pay for ten pounds of sugar, two pounds of coffee and three pounds of butter.
2 The shopman took a piece of paper and a pencil, wrote something down and answered that it would be four dollars and sixty cents.
3 Then the boy wanted to know how much change  the shopman would give him if he gave him five dollars.
4 The shopman replied that he would give the boy forty cents.
5 The boy thanked the shopman and added that he didn't want to buy anything and he said it was his homework for the following day, but he couldn't do it himself.

1 Однажды маленький мальчик вошел в магазин и спросил продавца, сколько ему придется заплатить за десять фунтов сахара, два фунта кофе и три фунта масла.
2 Лавочник взял листок бумаги и карандаш, что-то записал и ответил, что это будет четыре доллара шестьдесят центов.
3 Потом мальчик захотел узнать, сколько сдачи ему даст лавочник, если он даст ему пять долларов. 
4 Лавочник ответил, что отдаст мальчику сорок центов сдачи. 
5 Мальчик поблагодарил лавочника и добавил, что не хочет ничего покупать; он сказал, что это его домашнее задание на следующий день, но он не мог сделать его сам.
