The sons divided the inheritance left from his father, the Miller, the mill took the eldest son, the second son took the donkey, and the youngest is given the cat. The younger, of course, was unhappy with his share, but at the end of the story he will be the happiest, because it was not a simple cat, and talking, smart, brave. He asked his new owner for boots. Why it came to be called puss in boots. He caught game and wore it as a gift to the king on behalf of the Marquis of Karabas. And then, knowing that the king and his daughter will go near the river, asked the owner to swim in the river, and he hid his clothes. When the carriage was passing, he shouted that his master, the Marquis of Karabas(as he called him) had been robbed and he was drowning. The Marquis of Karabas was pulled out of the water, dressed in beautiful clothes and took with him for a walk. The cat arranged so that the king thought that all fields and meadows belong to his owner. Himself waded into the Palace of the Ogre, cunning ate him when he turned into a mouse. The king and his daughter, the Marquis of Karabas, came to the Palace, and the king decided to marry his daughter to his delight. On this ended a fairy tale.

The sons divided the inheritance left by the miller's father: the oldest son took the mill, the middle son took the donkey, and the younger one was given a cat. The younger, of course, was dissatisfied with his share, but at the end of the tale he would be the happiest, because it was not a simple cat, but a talking, intelligent, brave. He asked his new master for boots. Therefore, he was called a cat in boots. He caught the game and carried it as a gift to the King on behalf of the Marquis of Carabas. And then, having learned that the king and his daughter would go by the river, he asked the master to bathe in the river, and he hid his clothes. When the carriage was passing by, he shouted that his master Marquis Carabas (as he himself called it) had been robbed and he was drowning. The Marquis of Karabas was dragged out of the water, dressed in fine clothes and took with him on a walk. The cat arranged so that the king thought that all the fields and meadows belonged to his master. Sam sneaked into the palace of the Ogre, cunningly ate it when it turned into a mouse. The king came to the palace with his daughter and Marquis Carabas, and the king decided to give his daughter for him in joys. This ended the tale.
