I think if we had choice to save time and put our heritage of the nation in time capsule it's definately would be books, some kind of art,i'm not sure about monuments, i guess they would still be "alive" as antique art's of ancient world. But i agree that it totally would be books, painting, some technical things, our music, and and if it would be possible in a short time to make the whole life of our time of the Millennium, each person all life that can be viewed in a few minutes,memories of green grass and butterflies in childhood, and latest ageing.Maybe i disagree with you because in future people will find stuff that they are invented and for em it would be pretty great,but they will always be remembering things that was before them , as we are now looking to. I don't think that we need to save the junk of our time, priceless things should live forever, life should be appreciate and thins like that should last forever.
