1 Police hunt granny suspects
Police suspect two grandmothers of stealing a student's purse at a railway station in the north of England. The two ladies 1 were seen on security cameras. They 2 (were laughing) to themselves moments before the theft. The ladies 3 (found) the student's bag and then 4 (took) it to the transport police office. Later, while the student 5 (was checking) her bag, she 6 (realised) that her purse 7 (had disappeared). The police said, "We would like to interview these ladies. They 8 have just (got off) a train from Newcastle'.
2 Prisoner posts himself to freedom
A prisoner 9 (put) himself in a big parcel and then 10 (posted) himself from a jail in Austria. The man 11 (was serving) a sentence for robbery when he 12 (escaped). He 13 (made) himself into a parcel and the other prisoners put him onto a lorry. When the lorry 14 (had travelled) a distance from the prison, the man 15 (broke out) ofthe parcel and escaped.
