The Browns had been looking forward to having a relaxing holiday at the beach. They had hoped to enjoy sunshine in Spain after a grey, wet and miserable June in England. The beginning of their holiday was fantastic. The Browns spent a lot of time on the beach making sandcastles. It was sunny and the beach was crowded with happy people. Suddenly Mr Brown noticed a huge wave rushing towards the beach. Other people saw it too and started to run away in panic. The Browns rushed with them as fast as they could.

But the wave reached them and smashed against them. The Browns fell over but fortunately they weren't hurt. Other people helped them to get to safety. They all felt frightened and relieved at the same time.
