Shakhrisabz is a beautiful town with a lot of interesting places. The most magnificent monument of the Timurids, the Ak-Saray Palace is situated in Shakhrisabz. "Ak-Saray" means "white palace". The Palace was built of white marble. It was decorated with blue mosaics and sayings, telling stories of national epics and folk fables. The Palace is visited by many tourists every year.
