We came to the river. Then my friends and I took off our shoes and socks and went into the river to fish. It was summer and the water was warm. I told my sister not to go into the water. I told her to pick up stones and put them into her bag. We fished and fished but didn't catch any fish. Suddenly Peter told me to look at my sister. I saw my sister in the water with her shoes and socks on. I ordered her to get out of the water. But my little sister ran away from me and fell into the water. Her hair was wet, her dress was wet and her shoes and socks were wet, too. We pulled her out of the water. We took off her wet things and put them on the grass to dry. We gave her some bread and butter and she ate it all up. She also drank her milk and mine too. Then she ate her apple. When her dress, her shoes and her socks were dry we went home. But my mother guesses that Nancy had been in the water because her things were not ironed. She was angry with Mary and she didn't give Mary and cake for supper. My sister went to bed and my mother gave her some hot milk.
