The house of Peter I is a simple building in the plan-in the center of the hall, behind them-a small bedroom of the king, and on the sides more spacious office and dining room. The area of the House on the outer perimeter is 65 square meters. The walls of the House, cut through unusual large Windows with small rassteklovkoy bindings, preserved traces of coloring under the brick. This method of decorating wooden structures was typical for the first years of the city. The painting of the House is the only surviving example of this kind. The high four-pitched roof is covered with shingles-flat wooden boards imitating shingles. During the restoration works of 1971-1975, carried out under the project of the arch. A. E. Hesse, inside the building was cleared the so-called "grass" ornament on the platbands of Windows and doors, executed in oil paints. On a black background, flowers and herbs intertwine-roses, rose hips, peppermint, cornflowers, carnations. The remains of the painting are on all the inner doors of the House. The best preserved painting on the door canvas from the dining room to the bedroom, which depicts the interior of the Western European Cathedral. The walls of the premises of the interior of the House, as in Peter's time, upholstered with sea canvas. The Windows are glazed with "moon" glass, made in our time by the technology of the early XVIII century.
