Dear Andrew,

Thanks a lot for your letter. I'm glad to hear that you've decided to take up some sport! If I were you, I would choose basketball.

You asked me what kinds of sports are popular with teenagers in Russia. Well, we like football and basketball, and martial arts. In my school there are a few sport facilities: two indoor sports halls, a weight-room and a large outdoor stadium with a football pitch. There is also an outdoor basketball court. We have such school competitions as track-and-field events, a football championship, a volleyball tournament and others.

Actually, I'd better go now as I've got my football practice.
