The Tiger and the Big Wind
Once, there was no rain for a long time. It was hard to find food, and the
animals became hungry and thirsty. Only one tree had fruit. It was a
beautiful apple tree. A _apples were red and juicy. A greedy tiger
stood by the tree. Even though the tree had more apples than the tiger
could eat, the tiger did not let any of the other animals eat the apples.
The hungry animals went to the rabbit to ask for help. The rabbit
helped B
think of a plan. The rabbit went to the tiger and
said: "Tiger, a big wind C .It will be so strong that it will
blow D
off the earth!" The birds began to flap their
wings, making a strong wind. The tiger was afraid.
"I will tie you to the tree so the wind cannot blow you away," said
the rabbit. The tiger agreed. Then all the animals came out and
every apple on the tree.
