Kaindi - Lake Kaindi in the Almaty region was formed in 1911 after an earthquake, as a result of rocks in a mountain gorge collapsed at the mouth of the river. Many relict Tien Shan spruces have died, but continue to stand. Bare trunks protrude above the water, and whimsical mirror images protrude beneath the surface of the lake. The water temperature in the lake does not exceed 6 degrees Celsius, which, however, does not prevent it from being popular with local divers.
Bektau-Ata - Bektau-Ata is a tract in Kazakhstan, 70 kilometers north of Balkhash. Mountainous terrain differs sharply in its flora from the surrounding steppes. And there are small but very nice lakes.
