The use of mertels is effective for all types of masonry refractory materials of thermal and chemical units and their elements-furnaces, thermal furnaces, pipelines, flues, baths of molten metal or salts, etc. Known lining mixtures are usually composed for reasons of similarity of the chemical composition of the mixture and the base refractory. This contributes to the compatibility and adhesion of the applied lining material and the base on which it is applied. However, even with such chemical compatibility, there may be problems with ensuring the adhesion of the lining or repair mixture to the base, especially in cases where it is necessary to ensure a reliable adhesion over a long period of operation under high-temperature static or dynamic (including cyclical) influences. Often, under the influence of these factors, the lining is detached, discolored or the formation of shells and burnouts, which reduces the service life of a high-temperature thermal unit.
