Last night I was alone at home.

I was lying on my bed and I was watching TV when I heard a strange noise. The noise was coming from the kitchen.

I went downstairs, picked up a heavy vase from the table and headed for the kitchen.

I opened the door very slowly.

Then I saw someone.

He was searching in the fridge.

I was so frightened that I dropped the vase I was carrying and it crashed onto the floor.

The man turned towards the door and I saw his face.

It was my husband!
