Yurt is the national dwelling of the Turkic and Mongolian people, which has a frame base covered with felt. Architecture is a storehouse of the richest information about the culture of a particular people. And the yurt, perhaps, tell us about the life of Kazakh nomads. The history appearance of the yurt dates back to the 12th century . A nomadic dwelling with a spherical dome, so-called Kazakh type of yurt, was finally formed at the beginning of the 19th century. Like many years ago, yurt today is an indispensable element in the life of modern livestock breeders in Kazakhstan. The main secret lies in convenience, simplicity and practicality: it is easy to transport, quickly assembled, and the felt covering saves from rain, wind and cold. A yurt is an inexpensive comfortable dwelling that is in no way inferior to a capital structure. The yurt is rightfully called a masterpiece of nomadic architecture.
