It was a hot night and I could not sleep, I got up and looked out of the window. The sky was very beautiful to look at. There was half-moon in the west and many stars were burning bright in the firmament.
While I was absorbed in this lovely night scene, I became aware of a moaning sound from the next crying. I listened for a while. I thought at first that somebody there was wheezing. But no, it was distinctly a crying sound. It was soon followed by other sounds. They were of people talking loudly. I could not make out as to what they were talking.
The quarrelling noise increased. Now and then, I could identify a voice that appeared to be begging. Very soon, I heard the sound of blows and a shrill cry from a child. Still I hesitated to move out of my cozy bed to see what the matter was. The neighbor was only an acquaintance of mine and at that hour of the night I was reluctant to go and interfere.
While my thoughts were running along that strain, I heard a sudden rumble, as if someone were closing the door loudly. This was followed by a terrifying scream, and then there was silence. I was afraid that something horrible happened. So, I went to the neighbor's door and knocked. It was opened by my teacher, who appeared on face of dismay and bewilderment. After some excuses, I enquired of him what the matter was.
He told me that Aang had escaped. Teacher understood that I was worried. Sitting down, he told me Aang is a new avatar and he will have to learn and leave these lands. When he told him this, he cried, I understand it was their voices. He pushed the chairs that caused the accident. And screaming, he fled. While I was looking for an apology for disturbing him, he asked me for forgiveness for disturbing my peace at night. I bade him good night and returned to my room.
Thus I found out that my friend,I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang, and although his airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.But I believe Aang can save the world...
