The British Museum, in the Bloomsbury area of London, England, is a public institution dedicated to human history, art and culture. The museum was closed 208 days in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, it received 1,275,466 visitors, ranking it fifth on the List of most-visited art museums in the world.
