My future job is an educator. I have been interested in this profession since I was a child.

     An educator educates. That is, they present  information, asses, revisit, and assess again until they are satisfied with the learning that has taken place. To have all students learning an educator needs to be proficient at all kinds of different strategies such as differentiation, meaningful assessments, authentic assessments and on and on.Educators work with children or students.

       Good educators are in high demand, but to be an effective teacher, you need to have a diverse set of professional skills. They are leadership, enthusiasm, organisation, respectfulness, multitasking, teamwork and so on...

     In general, it will take at least four years to become qualified to teach, including the time it takes to earn the minimum degree and certification requirements. Now I am a 4th year student of Training Teacher College.

    However, like all other careers, teaching also brings with it a fair share of advantages and disadvantages.

   Pros of being an educator are respect and status in the society, job satisfaction, decent amount of holidays and vacation, chance to uplift the lives of others, fixed working hours and self-employment opportunities.

    Cons of being an educator are limited job opportunities outside teaching, dealing with students can be frustrating, deadlines and work pressure and work outside of school hours.

   In conclusion I want to say that educators, directly or indirectly, contribute towards the growth of the society and the nation. They nurture students, who then become responsible citizens and human beings.
