1 Introduction
Although our school occupies relatively new buildings, is becoming obvious that our sports facilities need modernizing. In this report we will focus on our two most popular facilities, namely, the gym and the basketball court.
2 The gym
The gym is very popular among male and female students. However, we feel that the gym equipment is oriented more towards the needs and interests of the male part of the student population. Not many female students are interested in weightlifting and they practically don’t use the heavy barbells. The situation could be improved by the installation of a few treadmills and other similar pieces of modern sophisticated equipment.
3 The basketball court
Basketball is a popular game at our school and the majority of the students enjoy playing it. At present there are two problems with the basketball court that we would like to point out. Firstly, the floor needs painting and marking out. Secondly, it is felt that there aren’t enough seats for the spectators. It would be a good idea to install a few more rows of seats.
4 Conclusion
All in all, the situation is not desperate, but it requires immediate action. Although there could be other problems with the sports facilities, addressing the ones mentioned in this report would be a good place to start. Personally, I feel that my fellow students and I would be happy to take part in the renovation and help the school administration with the work that needs to be done.
