otvet: In the national park "Braslav Lakes" scientific activities are carried out, as well as work on nature protection. The center of the National Park is the city of Braslav, where the leadership and scientific base are located. The labor collective of the national park numbers almost 600 people.
The national park has a rich and numerous fauna: 189 bird species are found here, of which 45 are rare and endangered. Among the animals listed in the Red Book of Belarus, stand out: badger, lynx , brown bear,stork black,crane gray, gray seagull. Other inhabitants of the braslav forests: wolf,boar,
Elk,raccoon dog, marten.Botanists have counted about 500 species of flora in the park, 20 species of which are rare for Belarus. The national park serves to protect unique natural complexes from human economic activities, preserve them for future generations. It was created in August 1995. The Braslav group of lakes became the nucleus. There are a number of interesting natural monuments within the boundaries of the national park.
