Thanks you for your last letter. I was really glad to receive it. You asked me about my school, I will be happy to tell you.
First of all - my school is a public school. It starts at 8:30 sharp. When you come in there's a lot of changing rooms for different classes. I suppose you don't have such because you don't have winter.
Next, we don't have a uniform, but we have a dress code instead - white top and black bottom. Which is rather good - because you can wear practically anything you like.
We have a cafeteria at the first floor and a big sports room above it.
To conclude, we have a lot of different subjects and a lot of different teachers and classes geared with all sort of equipment.

В задании не уточняется кто твой друг и из какой он страны. Даю перевод: Когда ты заходишь в школу перед тобой много раздевалок для разных классов. Я думаю у вас таких нет, так как у вас нет зимы. Так что вот откуда зима)
