Uritskoye was first mentioned under the name Volkovichi in 1560, as a land in the use of Leonty Volk.
At the beginning of 1918, the Volkovitsko-Krupetsky village council was formed.
In 1927, at the request of the residents, the village was renamed Uritskoye.
Since 2005, Uritskoye has had the status of an agro-town.

There are 2 farms on the territory of the agro-town: (SPK) "Uritskoye" and KSUP "Combine" Vostok "". Gomel CHPP-2 is located 1.5 km from the settlement, a city-forming enterprise that in the 1980s gave impetus to the development and growth of the settlement (and the emergence of the Energetik microdistrict).
According to the results of economic activity, the collective farm (SPK) "Uritskoye" is the leader in the agricultural industry - in 2005 it took second place in the regional competition among agricultural organizations for harvesting and producing livestock products, and is among the 100 best agricultural enterprises of the republic.
The Vostok state farm was founded in 1985. The farm specializes in the production of potatoes, open and closed ground vegetables, the cultivation of oyster mushrooms, gardening and fish farming.
