When we say "used to" we mean that a person did something in the past, but then stopped doing it. For example, "I used to eat plenty of pizza before I gained weight. Now I am on a diet". In this case, we always put an infinitive after "to". But when we say "be/get used to", we must use an -ing form or a noun. For example, "I'm used to eating plenty of pizza". Eating lots of pizza is the current habit.
Or we can say, "I'm getting used to eating a lot of pizza". It means that the person is starting to eat a lot of pizza, he or she is getting a new habit.
