Chessboxing

There is a stereotype that boxers are not exceptionally clever and sharp-witted, because they often receive from opponents "on the brains". But the creators of this curious sport decided to prove the opposite: strong muscles can be combined with strong intelligence. The rules of chess box provide for the traditional 11 rounds, where the usual three-minute boxing alternates with rounds of "fast" chess lasting 4 minutes. Chessboxing gained popularity in Europe, especially in Germany and England.

Kabaddi

This team game may seem a bit childish, because it reminds me of "catch me". But in Asia, where it originated, this is not the case. In 1990, kabaddi was included in the Asian Games, and since 2004, 4 sports championships have been held in this sport. However, only India won them.

The principle of the game is that one of the teams chooses the "invader", who runs halfway across the opponent's field and with a continuous (until there is enough breath) scream "Kabaddi! Kabaddi!" tries to touch one of the opponents and then return to his half. If he fails, opponents already have the right to attack.

Medieval battles

This rather young sport can serve as a time machine for lovers of the history and era of Kievan Rus. Everything is serious here: the melting pot, steel armor, weapons, shields and a charge of adrenaline. Competitions have been held in our country since 2008 and since then Ukrainians have regularly won international tournaments. In 2019, Kyiv hosted the World Cup.

Bubble football

In traditional football, there are often injuries that can knock a player out of the starting lineup for a long time. But the creators of this sport have found a solution to the problem: painful collisions can be avoided if you go out on the field in giant bubbles. It doesn't matter if you look funny and a little awkward, but you can push your opponent too fast and avoid punishment and injuries.

Bubble football was created in Norway (2011) and later spread to Britain, New Zealand and the United States.
