И в США,и в Англии большинство ребят посещает школы с бесплатным образованием. В США они называются муниципальными школами,а в Англии -- государственными. Среднее образование обязательно в обеих странах,но в США дети обязаны посещать школу в возрасте 6-18 лет,а в Англии -- 5-16 лет. Период начального образования в Англии -- 6 лет. В США начальное образование называется элементарным. В разных типах школ оно может занимать от 5 до 8 лет. Названия школ и период обучения в двух странах довольно разнится. В США ученики не сдают государственные экзамены,а вот в Англии сдают в конце каждой ступени.
