Thomas Alva Edison:
Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. He was the seventh and last child of Samuel and Nancy Edison. Thomas Alva Edison exerted a tremendous influence on modern life, contributing inventions such as the incandescent light bulb, the phonograph, and the motion picture camera, as well as improving the telegraph and telephone.

Nicholas Copernicus:
On February 19, 1473, Nicolaus Copernicus is born in Torun, a city in north-central Poland on the Vistula River. He was the first modern European scientist to propose that Earth and other planets revolve around the sun. Copernicus died of a cerebral hemorrhage on May 24, 1543.
