Poltava land is special, and this feature is associated with the people of this region. We should at least remember the writers who were born in Poltava region - Ivan Kotlyarevsky, Grigory Skovoroda, Nikolai Gogol, Ostap Vyshnya, the Tyutyunnik brothers. Among scientists there are also many famous names, the list would be endless. Poltava land is truly generous with talents, as well as ordinary kind and friendly people.
Everyone has a small motherland. I also have it in Poltava region. This homeland is mine, and therefore the best and most native. It is a small village, lost in the forest-steppe, but known and famous for its glorious countrymen and its history of appearance, because it was formed in the eighteenth century.
Since the village is ancient, there are no smooth streets, where houses stand like soldiers on the parade ground, because people used to settle, taking into account the natural conditions. This is why we use more names for our nooks (Pakhari, Zabrodovka, Sloboda) than for streets.
Our family I have long since moved to the city, but I still remember my native village, where there was my house with a low fence, behind which always grew mint, periwinkle, blooming dahlias, smiling velvets. My roots are there, my respect and love for Ukraine begins there.
