Объяснение:

В англійській мові іменники розподіляються на дві групи: обчислювані  та необчислювані.

Обчислювані іменники можна вживати в однині та в множині, з означеним та неозначеним артиклем. До них відносяться предмети, назви істот, поняття, що можна порахувати.

Необчислюванi іменники - поняття та предмети, котрі неможливо порахувати. Вони вживаються лише в однині, а неозначений артикль з ними не використовується.

Коли треба казати "кілька", "деяку кількість", "трохи":
(a) little використовується з неисчисляемыми іменниками,  
(a) few – з обчислюваними іменниками.
