You: No, I haven't. Tell me more about it.
Partner: Yeah, so a group of students and some teachers are planning to create a magazine that will feature student writing and artwork. They're looking for volunteers to help out with the planning and production of the magazine.
You: That sounds like a great idea. I love writing and I would love to be a part of it.
Partner: Me too! I was thinking the same thing. We should definitely sign up to help out.
You: Definitely. Do you know when the first meeting is?
Partner: I'm not sure, but I heard that it's going to be held next week. I'll find out more details and let you know
You: Great, I'll be sure to mark the date on my calendar. Do you know what kind of writing they're looking for?
Partner: I think they're open to all types of writing, from poetry to short stories to personal essays. They also want to include art and photography.
You: That's really exciting. I can't wait to start reading submissions and picking out the best pieces to include in the magazine.
Partner: Same here. And I think it would be cool to have a theme for each issue, like "hope" or "friendship" or something like that.
You: That's a great idea. We should bring it up at the meeting and see what the group thinks.
Partner: Definitely. And maybe we can even have a launch party once the first issue is printed.
You: That would be awesome. Let's start planning it all out.
Partner: Definitely. Let's meet after school next week to discuss it more and see what we can come up with.
