Mammoths died out because glacial period , they can't be alive now , climate is changed long time ago (millions years ago) By the way another interesting fact : the main reason that killed the shaggy giants is today called climate change, which caused a sharp reduction in areas suitable for mammoths . Maybe someday we will see them again but these are just fairy tales
