My worst camping trip
Last weekend, I went camping with my friends, but there were a lot of things that went wrong. It was terrible! We met on Saturday morning at 8 a.m., because we wanted to spend together as much time as possible, and everyone was very sleepy, tired and cranky. The weather wasn’t really good either. In fact, it soon started raining, but nobody had a raincoat or an umbrella with them. The plan was to catch a bus and go to the country, but there was some accident on the road, so we had had to wait at the bus stop for about an hour before our bus showed up. Our ride wasn’t particularly pleasant too, because the driver was very slow, but at least we managed to sleep for a bit. We got there feeling refreshed and thinking that things were going to get better, but little did we know that the worst was yet to come! Just after a few hours of walking, my best friend scraped her knee, so we decided to call it a day, put up our tents and have a rest. However, it turned out that a few people forgot their sleeping bags, so they had nothing to sleep in. We also had no band-aid in our first-aid kit, and my best friend’s knee started bleeding. On top of all that, we left our food on the ground, and its smell attracted a whole family of ants, so now we didn’t have anything to eat. That incident became the last straw, so we simply gathered our things and went home. I really hope I’ll never end up in a situation like this again!

На прошлых выходных я пошел(-ла) с друзьями в поход, но многое пошло не по плану. Это было ужасно! Мы встретились субботним утром в 8 утра, потому что мы хотели провести вместе как можно больше времени, и все были очень сонными, уставшими и раздражительными. Погода тоже была не очень хорошей. Вообще, вскоре начался дождь, но ни у кого не было с собой ни дождевиков, ни зонтов. У нас был план сесть на автобус и выехать за город, но на дороге произошел какой-то несчастный случай, так что нам пришлось целый час ждать автобус на остановке. Поездка тоже была не слишком приятной, потому что наш водитель был очень медленным, но нам хотя бы удалось немного поспать. Мы приехали чувствуя себя несколько отдохнувшими и думая, что все теперь наладится, но мы еще не знали, что худшее впереди! Всего лишь через несколько часов ходьбы моя лучшая подруга разбила коленку, так что мы решили, что на сегодня хватит и пора бы уже ставить палатки и отдыхать. Однако тут выяснилось, что несколько человек забыли свои спальные мешки, так что им не в чем было спать. У нас также не было пластыря в аптечке, и коленка моей подруги начала сильно кровоточить. В довершение всего мы оставили еду на земле, и ее запах привлек целое семейство муравьев, так что теперь нам нечего было есть. Этот случай стал последней каплей, так что мы просто собрали свои вещи и пошли домой. Я очень надеюсь, что я больше никогда не окажусь в подобной ситуации!
