It used to be the name of a tram stop that appeared in the late 1920s. A small grove grew here, but it was destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. Then new birch trees were planted along the sidewalks, but now almost all of them have died, but the name remains.

Private houses appeared here in the 1950s, the microdistrict - in the first half of the 1960s. At the same time, new trees were planted - oaks, ash trees, but not birches. True, a few years ago they still planted several birches. This happened along with the reconstruction of the mini-market and the construction of a wooden church. And although we, most likely, will no longer see the pre-war grove, the spirit of something primordially Russian has appeared here again.

- Street names were often born among the people. Although there were times in our history when something was renamed by decree. One of the first, by the way, was Gendarmerie Hill - it became Communards Street. Voikov and Zhelyabov streets appeared - but are these people so important to us now? It would be great if we returned the old names that appeared spontaneously and reflected the essence of the city. It was immediately clear from the name where you got to.

It's good that now, for example, on Revolution Avenue they write a double name. And some are already saying: let's take a walk along Bolshaya Dvoryanskaya. And such names as Zastava or Devitsky exit, it seems to me, will not disappear. Even if the streets and outposts no longer exist, people retain their names, and with them the history of their city.
