Once my family went hiking. We had been walking the whole day. We were very tired and decided to look for a place to stay when we looked around and saw a castle on top of the hill. It was very old, with bricks falling apart and the soil around it looked barren. We decided to locate the entrance to see if we could spend the night there.
As we walked towards the castle, we saw that the entrance was well hidden and defensive in nature. We could see the point of a sword from behind the wall. We carefully approached and explained that we were just tired hikers looking for a place to rest.
To our surprise, the castle was occupied by a noble who welcomed us with open arms. He showed us around the castle, explaining its existence and history. We were amazed to hear that the castle had survived numerous attacks and wars but still managed to stand tall.
The noble even took us to the highest point of the castle to show us the beautiful view of the surrounding lands. As we enjoyed the view, we heard a loud noise coming from the distance. The noble became defensive, and we could see the worry in his eyes.
He quickly rushed us back to the entrance, explaining that the noise was from an invading army. He ordered his men to prepare for battle, and we were told to stay put. We watched as the noble and his men fought bravely to defend the castle.
Despite their best efforts, the invaders managed to destroy the castle, leaving nothing but ruins. We were heartbroken to see the noble lose everything he had, but we were also inspired by his bravery and love for his castle.
As we walked away from the ruins, we realized that the noble's spirit still existed, even though the castle was destroyed. We were grateful for the experience and the lessons we learned that day.
