One of the most well-known artists in history is Leonardo da Vinci. Born in 1452 in Tuscany, Italy, da Vinci was a master of many disciplines, including painting, sculpture, engineering, and science. He is most famous for his paintings, which include the iconic Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.

One of my favorite works by da Vinci is The Vitruvian Man, which is a pen and ink drawing created in the 1480s. This drawing depicts a male figure in two superimposed positions, with his arms and legs extended. The figure is based on the writings of the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius, who believed that the human body was the perfect model for architecture.
