One day, Tom and his best friend Jack were on their way back from school when they noticed a girl crying in the alleyway. They approached her and asked what was wrong. She told them that she had lost her wallet and didn't have enough money to take the bus home.
Tom and Jack decided to help her out. They went through their own pockets and together they managed to collect enough money to buy her a bus ticket. The girl was very grateful and thanked them for their kindness.
Later that evening, the girl called Tom and Jack to thank them again and to invite them over for dinner as a way of saying thanks. Tom and Jack were surprised, but they accepted the invitation.
At dinner, the girl introduced them to her parents who were also very grateful for their help. Tom and Jack were happy to have made a new friend and to have helped someone in need.
From that day on, the three of them became good friends, and Tom and Jack learned that a small act of kindness can go a long way in making someone's day.
