As a student, sports are an important part of my school life. In our school, we have a range of sports that are taught including football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and athletics. We have two sports periods in a week, and we play different sports each week. Sometimes we have tournaments with other schools, which is really exciting.
I disagree with the statement that team sports don't make you fit. Team sports are a great way to get exercise and stay in shape. When you play team sports, you have to work together with your teammates and this builds teamwork skills as well as fitness.
I think the best time to do sports at school is during the morning before classes start. This way, we can start the day feeling energized and focused. Also, it's not too hot in the morning, which makes it easier to do sports.
One sporting event that I remember was a football tournament that our school participated in. I remember it because it was the first time I scored a goal in a match. It was a great feeling to see my teammates cheering and it made me more confident in my abilities.
I'm not sure if students should be able to choose how many sports lessons they have each week. Some students might not want to do sports at all, and if they could choose, they might choose not to have any sports lessons. However, sports are important for a healthy lifestyle and for building teamwork skills, so maybe students should have a minimum number of sports lessons each week.
I don't think girls and boys have different attitudes towards sports in school. Both boys and girls can enjoy sports and be good at them. However, I have noticed that some girls may feel shy about playing sports in front of boys, especially if they feel they are not very good at it. But I think it's important to encourage everyone to play sports and enjoy them, regardless of their gender.
