A Friend in Need...Last month, I was struggling to understand a difficult math concept. I asked my friend Sarah for help, but she responded, "Sorry, I'm not very good at math. I wouldn't be much help to you."

Feeling discouraged, I decided to ask my younger sister. She's in a lower grade than I am, but sometimes she can explain things in a simpler way that helps me understand. Unfortunately, this time she couldn't help me either.

Just then, a quiet classmate named Alex overheard our conversation. He's not the most outgoing person, but he's known for being an excellent student. "I think I could help you with that," he offered.

Alex patiently explained the math concept to me and even shared some helpful tips for remembering it. Afterwards, we talked about other classes we have in common and discovered that we both love playing video games.

Thanks to Alex's help, I not only understood the math concept better but also made a new friend in the process.
