Actors have a difficult job. One difficult thing that they need to do is learn all their lines. But imagine how difficult it is when they need to learn words in a language which doesn't really exist! Emilia Clarke is a British actress that speaks not one but two fictional languages in the TV series Game of Thrones. One of the languages is called Valyrian and the other is Dothraki. David Peterson is the person who invented all the languages in the series. Peterson went to the University of California, San Diego. That was were he studied linguistics. For Game of Thrones, he created a lot of words for each language. His wife Erin helped him to create at least one word. She was the person whose name he used to create the adjective for kind or good in Dothraki It must be really hard for that Emilia in Dothraki But there are a few she needs to film words that she doesn't need to learn in Dothraki. One of them is Thank you! The Dothraki people are quite aggressive and never use it.
