Dear Mom and Dad,
I hope this letter finds you well. I want to tell you about my experiences at Dotheboys Hall school. The building is old and dilapidated, with cracked walls and leaky ceilings. It is a far cry from the comfortable home I have at home. I sleep in a cramped dormitory with several other boys, and the food is barely edible. We usually eat gruel, which is thin and tasteless. Sometimes we get a slice of bread if we are lucky.
During the day, we are made to work hard. We spend hours cleaning, doing laundry, and running errands for Mr. and Mrs. Squeers. We have little time for ourselves and no time for play or leisure.
