Introduction:

It was a typical Saturday morning, and I was walking down the street towards St. Edwards, a school that is located on Long Bridge. As I turned the corner, I saw a group of people gathered outside the school gates, and I wondered what could be happening.

Background Information:

Curious, I went closer to the scene to see what was happening. Then, I realized that the main entrance gate to the school had been damaged and was hanging precariously from one hinge. The gate was a large and imposing one, made of iron and painted in a dull black color.

Main events:

As I got closer, I saw that there was a small group of children standing nearby, and two of them looked guilty and ashamed. They were the ones responsible for the damage to the gate. They had been playing catch with a ball, and one of them had accidentally thrown it too high and hit the gate, causing it to fall off its hinges. The children looked terrified of the consequences and were already imagining getting punished by their parents.

Conclusion:

However, the school principal was understanding and decided not to punish the children. She took the opportunity to talk to them about taking responsibility for their actions and the importance of telling the truth. They were relieved and grateful for her understanding. As I walked away from the scene, I couldn't help but feel glad that things had worked out well. In the end, the children had learned an important life lesson that they would carry with them into the future.
