10th September 1621 We arrived in America last year after a very 1dangerous storm. At first it was very cold and it snowed 2heavy/ heavily We lived on the ship and many people died. At the end of the winter we were only fifty- two Pilgrims. On December 25th we started to build our first house. We finished it 3 quick / quickly and now we all have houses, I married John Parker, the sailor on the Mayflower, Our life isn't 4easy / easily but we are very 5happy / happily. We eat very 6good/ well in America. The fruit and vegetables are very different from those in England. The Indians have taught us to grow and cook them. Today we are having a big dinner Many Indians are going to eat with us. The Indians have helped us a lot and we live 7peaceful/peacefully with them.
